I figured out last night that it is absolutely pointless for me to attempt to please everyone at the same time. Things have been oh-so-hectic lately. A lot of different things have been said by different people...not all of them pleasant. I just hope that everything is just now starting to sort itself out. Said situation has been dragging on for so long now, it's almost as if it's starting to make me physically and mentally tired. Ah well. Such is life eh?
I got around to writing Chapter 13 of the novel today...only another 20 chapters to go. I had been showing it to my English Lecturer as I may have before said, and she sidled up to me the other day, saying she missed reading it and asking whether I could perhaps get another chapter done for tomorrow. So me being me I took the weekend without the internet by the horns and completed another chapter. I also managed to paint a few more of my Warhammer Figurines, which I was pleased about. I'm not too bad at painting now...but it takes me an age since they all have to be 'just so'.
We did a couple of hours Warhammer Roleplay at Craigs house on Sunday. The date and venue for the 24 hour session has been set for next Friday evening at Craigs house. My own grandparents are going away, so technically we could have had it here...but it has been sorted now, so no matter. I'm looking forward to it, even if I do have to be the GM. I need to spend about £20 that I technically can't afford on a new campaign book however, since we finished 'The Oldehaller Contract' the same day we started...I really ought to start adding a little more description into the things...but I'm rusty, I've not GM'ed in years, so I guess I'll get back into it as time goes by.
Nothing much more to say really. Oh, I got a letter from a local poetry group, asking me to write a poem about the place where I live, (Derby) in order for it to be published in a large anthology. Great. As if I don't have enough things sucking my muse dry. I'll do it though, I just need to figure out what aspect of this city I'm going to write on.
Shouts;
Tompi - Don't worry, I'll think of some more people for paintballing.
Carley - You really need to speak up more in the sessions. I want you to be the next Morgan.
Will - Thanks for the help, and Congrats on the GF front.
Joe - I took the ape downstairs to my room. Currently sitting on my bed-pillows...XDDD
