I've finally gotten around to signing up to one of these writers websites. I know I won't get an awful lot of revenue from it, but the fact remains that in time, (perhaps - and here is where I feverently pray) my name will begin to be recognised. I know the chances are small, but that doesn't stop me from hoping. Besides, surely it's better to get out there now and experience how damn hard it is to get a job here or a job there. I can;t say my family are the happiest people on earth now that I've told them all I no longer want to study Law at University, and want to do English instead.
On a good note however, my poetry is just starting to pick up, and since I have tomorrow off college due to an inset day, I fully plan to edit a little more of the book my father and I are writing. (Technically that should read 'have written', but since I'm in the editing stages now I'm loathe to properly say it in the past tense until it's published). I'm a third of the way through, and it's taken me two years on and off to get this far.
I'm going to do some more research tomorrow regarding trying to get a proper job as a content writer. There are one or two informative websites that I keep meaning to bookmark that I'll force myself to read. I'm waiting for the website I've signed up on to validate my account so that I can start earning, but I suppose until that happens I'd better make constructive use of my time. (There's a first time for everything, afterall).
