I learnt a valuable lesson today. When taking a digital camera out in order to take photographs of Dovedale (in the Peak District) you need more than 5 batteries. I'm relieved that my grandfather also had his camera with him, which I promptly stole once or twice in order to take a couple of pictures. (Said pictures will be out up in the next entry, when I've had chance to put them onto the computer and whatnot.)
I was meant to meet up with a number of friends today to go for a drink in town, but no-one bothered to ring me in order to confirm arrangements, so I just left it. I'm tired of being the one trying to organise things all the time. It wouldn't hurt them to do it themselves for once. Besides, I /finally/ got to go to the peak-district today, which, despite the freezing weather, I thoroughly enjoyed. My grandfather told me how his father had ridden down the side of Thorpe Cloud (Very large, steep hill) on a bike. I kindly asked as to whether my great-grandfather was medically insane...>.< Apparantly he wasn't, but if that's the sort of thing he got up to, it answers a whole lot of questions about my grandad, that's for sure.
Not a great deal more to add really. My college report has come through and it seems my grades aren't as good as my grandparents think they should be, even though every single tutor has commented upon how motivated and determined I am. So much for hard work paying off, huh? Ah well, only a week and a half until I have two weeks off for Christmas. That having been said, what with the timetable I've drawn up with the help of my tutor, I'll only have three days off. I must have a death-wish...pure and simple. Although with eight exams in January, I daresay I'll need to at least try my best to keep focused.
Two essays to do this weekend, I'm hoping I'll have enough time to work on THTSB as well, I've been neglecting it again just recently. I'll just have to see how well I'm able to get the current workload out of the way. There isn't anything else to say, so I'll stop there...No shouts today...^^
