Things are starting to look up for me it seems.
I passed my Driving Theory test today, first time. That means I don't have to pay my grandfather back for all the Driving Lessons he's paid for, which I'm pleased about, since I don't actually -have- a spare £350 lying around. Failure was really not an option. Now all I have to do is the actual test. I'm only getting my license so my family will let me go in for a Motorbike Exam. -Rolls eyes- I'll get there eventually.
I'm off to Kelmarsh tomorrow for the Festival of Living History. I'll be dressing up and re-enacting again, which I'm looking forward to. No...actually...I'm looking forward to the live entertainment in the beer tent that English Heritage is putting on for us Re-Enactors when all the public have gone home for the day. |3 Fun times. I'm just hoping feverently that the weather will be better than last year. One more event where I have to spend two days afterwards trying to warm up again and I'm going to be highly irate.
Oh, and I've restored my first book today. (Well, I started it yesterday, but I finished it off today). I'll be putting up some photographs of the process with a bit of luck...though I might wat a fw more times until I can get the correct stuffs to use instead of makeshifting what I can for my first try. I'm going to end up investing in all the nick-nakcs...I thoroughly enjoyed doing it, which is odd for someone with the patience of a sock.
Copenhagen. Has. Been. Booked. I'm going to go see Anne McCaffrey in under two months.
Better still, I've picked out the book I'd like her to sign for me. I'm going to be busy when I'm over there by the sounds of it, and not just at the Convention. My Auntie, who's coming with me, has decided to con...er...somehow get around my uncle in order to be able to take his credit card. I'll be dragged around clothes shops...I know I will. -Whines- Still...a small price to pay.
I feel calm, relaxed and content for the first time in Jeebus knows how long. I feel energetic and enthusiastic about life again. It's been -far- too long in coming 'round again...But this time I'm grabbing it with both hands.
I may even write another short this-evening. (Shock! Horror!) I'm leaning towards contemporary again for some odd reason. We'll see, I guess.
PS - Natalie Imbrulia is awesome. -Wisenod- Just. Because.
