Quite a lot has been happening in the world of 'Lady Tath' as of late. For one thing my muse has returned to me after a months-long holiday. There was a bit of a hissy fit, but I've locked her in one of my desk drawers, so she'll be around for a while at least...Which in turn means I can get on with some more short stories I've been dying to write.
I've finished 'Polgara' by David Eddings...it took e about 2-3 weeks to read, which is much longer than it usually takes. I'm already about a fifth of a way through 'The Other Boelyn Girl' by Philippa Gregory, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
It's less than three weeks until I go to Copenhagen, and less than a month until I'm packed and shipped off to University for the first time. I've no idea what the internet situation is like where I'll be going, but I'm sure I'll sort something out within a week or so if I'm not too distracted by all the shiny things given out at Freshers week.
I've written up some things for the people who run the Charity Shop I work for regarding general book care. If I go back over the Christmas break and the books have reverted to how I found them before I started, heads will roll. It's taken me months to sort them out. (Ergo, I now have problems myself in that my bookshelves are looking a little cramped, and my grandfather's shelves aren't much better...We're going to have to see if we can put some more shelving in or something. The attic's certainly big enough.)
I'm starting student-esque life early however, in that I have zero monetary funds. Granted, I have all my savings which I could tecnically take from...but I'm loathe to do that, since it's the start of my house deposit. We'll see how desperate I get before the first lot of Student Grant / Loan / Bursaries go into my account I guess.
