The reason for me not updating this thing for the past couple of weeks is simply that I started University on the 30th. This week it's just been a case of settling in and getting acquainted with getting from Halls to Campus and getting to know the other people I'm going to be seeing almost every day for the next year.
There are 7 of us altogether here in Block B in the Lasdun bulding. They seem to be a nice enough group. As I say we've only been here a week (well, a week tomorrow) and it already seems as though we've known one another for much longer.
Lectures start in earnest next week, and I must admit that I am thoroughly looking forward to it. The taster lecture yesterday really opened my eyes to lots of different possibilities within English that I'd not previously thought about...in turn making me rather enthusiastic about it.
The only thing that has dulled the week is the fact that I've had what they call 'Freshers Flu', which is basically like the normal flu but on Freshers week. The major sniffling and eye-running has passed now, but I still don't have my voice back. -Rolls eyes- I'm hoping I'll be alright by my seminar next week.
Now that I'm back and settled I'll try to update this daily, even if it's only a parargaph or two. I know my Auntie will want the link so she can read it.
