I ended up going out last night for the first time in what seems like an age. Camille dragged me along to 'Geology Thursday' at the Redfern, followed by Shampoo (60's / 70's music) and I must admit I rather enjoyed myself after I stopped feeling like so much of an interloper. I spent about £30, and I only gained the ability to numb the pain in my knee enough to dance. I might as well stick to soft drinks if that's all seven alcoholic drinks will do to me. Double bonus. They're cheaper and they won't damage my liver.
Uni is going well, I'm really enjoying my History of the English Language lectures. Learning Old English is like learning a completely new language...Funny...I find it much easier than I ever found French.
I've just finished watching 'The Queen'. Helen leant me the DVD. It ought to be compulsory for everyone to sit down and watch it before they bash our monarch. I've always been a royalist myself, and proud to be one...but there are some who'd do away with a tradition that England has had since the year dot. I don't see the sense in it myself, but I shan't go into a rant.
