I'm back at Uni now, after having an odd first day back. I ended up going out on the Sunday I got back and having some sort of drink poured down the back of my jeans, which in turn meant I had to borrow a pair of Gabi's trousers the next day. I got my stuff yesterday however, and I'm all nice and properly moved in now though, so it's all good.
I went to the Midlands woodwork show on Sunday, since Eric was kind enough to give me a lift. I ended up using a pole lathe, a new pyrographer and doing some carving with Michael Painter. I really, really enjoyed the carving. I'd love to do more but the only problem is that the tools are quite expensive to get to begin with, and I ended up buying a new pyrographer whilst I was there anyway. (Which I immediately fell in love with. It's a beautiful thing. xD )
Oh! And I finally got a 2.1 in one of my Assignments. Granted, it was for a History text commentary...but now at least I know what I'm able to do. There's only another two weeks of Lecturing and then we get two weeks off in order to revise for the exams. The closer it gets to those things the more twitchy I'm getting. >.>
...and according to Thomas McGrath, my Renaissance seminar lecturer...the first year is a cake walk. Oh dear.
