Well I suppose the biggest bit of news I have to share with you, dear reader, is the fact that I actually have somewhere to live next year. No contracts have been signed as of yet, but deposits have been given, so it's more or less a done deal. I think I've been a lot more relaxed today because of it. If I'm going to be honest I was getting rather uptight with my flatmates, which certainly wasn't fair on them. I've apologised in case I've said anything coarse over the past couple of days, but they understand completely.
---***---
Want to know what the lines/stars mean above? it means I had to take a break from writing the blog. It's now 4:27am and I've just got back from casualty. The reason I was there? I was assaulted by my Yo-Yo. I kid you not. I was Yo-Yoing (is that even a term? ah well.) and the blasted thing snapped back up the string and cracked my wrist. I've spent the last four and a bit hours in hospital. Gabi and Camille came with me. They're really great people. -Sighs- It's typical, really. I get a badly bruised wrist that I can barely use, and I have my written exams coming up in a couple of weeks. Typical.
In terms of the other news I was going to write prior to being injured, I attended a creative writing taster course on 'The Novel' today. It was a three hour session taken by the author Rod Duncan. I rather enjoyed it, of course. It got me thinking with regards to both structuring a longer story than I'm used to writing, and actually being patient and focused enough to actually sit down and write something on a regular basis instead of doing bits here and there. I'd mentioned my website to someone in passing who was looking for a specific book, and Rod ended up asking me about said website. If only I'd had it up and running! Ah well.
