If there is one thing that I've learned from my life thus far, it's to never, ever take good health for granted. I went home over the weekend in order to attend my cousin Jenna's 2nd birthday party. it was a family gathering, which gave me a good platform to get some of my English Assignment Questionnaire's filled in. My father went, and he just seemed....docile, for all of it. There's even parts of his speech that I have trouble deciphering now. His condition isn't one that will ever get better...but I'm almost afraid to forecast as to how it can worsen. Even without such a thing in the general equation, I thank good fortune each day that I'm able to walk. I've not particularly thought about such things in such great depth as I have these past few days. Good health is a blessing that people don't realise they have until something goes awry.
I also met up with an old School friend, Emma, over the weekend. It was her 19th and she invited me out along with some of her current friends. One of which remembered me from junior school. That can say one of two things. I've either not changed an awful lot over the past eight years, or I'm an unforgettable sort of person. Perhaps it's a mixture of both. I'd like to think so. It wasn't too bad, in any case. I was home before midnight, but it was nice to catch up a little.
Re-Al, Hannah and I signed the house contract this evening. I have the smallest room next year, but at least I have somewhere to live. the whole process wasn't as messy as I initially thought it would be, which is a definite bonus. There are just one or two minor things that have to be ironed out, but they're of minimum effort anyway. Thankfully. The last thing I need right now is something else looming over my head when my English Exam is about a week and 6 hours away.
