My 200th post on this blogger. W0ot. This blog has lasted a lot longer than I initially thought it would. Huzzah for me.
Over the past few days I've just been relaxing. The grandparents went away to Kent on Friday, and the medication I'm taking for my stomach/lungs tends to make me a little sleepy, so I've been operating a lathe and a pyrographer in order to get some Mark orders done. Good on me. That's £10 in my paypal account thus far anyway, but I've got a lot more to do. (If people get back to me properly, of course). I also showed Linda my workshop, since have wireless Internet, and she seemed to be really taken with it. We're plotting a present for Hans' birthday in December...a dagger that looks like a dragon. Go us. Whether I'll actually be able to do what I visualise in my head is another matter...but it's a challenge, which I like.
Only six days to go until I get to go and see my adopted wolf Luna. I'm really looking forward to both that and going to Hay-On-Wye the day before. Granted, I have to drive on a motorway...which I've never done before so I'm a little twitchy about...but still. I'll get over that.
I've been following the Olympics a little more closely over the past couple of days, and 'Team GB' are currently third in the medal table...mostly thanks to the Cyclists and Rowers. We don't seem to be able to get much in Track, which surprised me. I still feel sorry for Paula Radcliff though. She finished 21st in the Marathon because she had to stop halfway through due to cramp. Poor woman. At least she managed to finish this time though, unlike Sydney in '04.
We'll probably slip down the table, but from what I've heard we're aiming to stay in the top 10, which would be great. All this sports talk makes me raring to get back to Uni so I can join the Fencing society. Well, getting back to Uni in general seems like a great idea to me. I feel as though my brain is starting to stagnate. Horrid.
