Fact of life #7 - There are always easier ways to do something to the way you've always done it.
-----
So, due to me all but coughing my lungs up, I ended up getting a grand total of about 3.5 hours sleep...And the last hour of that was due to the fact that I managed to sleep through my Chaucer lecture at 9am this morning. Damn. Still, I at least caught up with the reading and suchlike today, so it's no big loss. Even the people who went, came out going; "But didn't we know that before?", so all is not lost.
Although I had no more lectures today, I got up at around 9:45am or so in order to have a shower and tidy up before Uncle Tim came 'round to have a look at the house. He did so, bringing my cousin Nathan with him. We had a cup of tea here and then went to the Leicester Space Centre for a couple of hours, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It made a nice change, and although we didn't get to see a third of it, I now have an annual pass, so theoretically I'd be able to go back for free at any point this year. it'd be good to do so...but we'll have to see I guess.
An hour back at home afterwards and then off to my LUT rehearsal. I'm playing the middle finger in the first session of the 'Protean Productions Presents' evenings. My lines are more or less learned already, which is definitely a good thing. We've only had one rehersal and we've more or less got the 10 minute sketch down.
Ah, and then home again...where I decided to start paper mache-ing my turtle shell...thing. It isn't going too badly, but it'll be a little touch-and-go as to whether or not it's going to be ready for the party on Friday. Doing such is both addictive, time consuming and messy. Although myself didn't know that the paste was made out of simply flour, water and salt. I'd gone out and bought some PVA glue as well, which I added to the mix I did in order to make it just that much harder when it set. (Hopefuly). Most of the pan is still left, so I'm hoping that won't go rock solid by the time I can either re-use it or get rid of it tomorrow.
Still, if it does go rock solid, it'll be amusing as anything to try and get out the pan.
