So I actually managed to finish the marathon that was turtle-shell making. Granted, it meant using a hair-dryer to try and get the paint dry in time before going out to the party yesterday, but I just managed it in time. It as met with quite a lot of amused admiration, which completely made all the effort and expense I put into it worthwhile. In an effort to try and re-use the costume, I contemplated attempting to go as a 'Zombie Turtle' next Friday to the Halloween gig at the Union, (Dead Leicester), but decided not to. I'm going to try and perfect a mummy outfit in a way that, this time, doesn't eventually fall to pieces. 'tis another challenge I technically don't have time or money for...but oh well.

I managed to read through 'The Knight's Tale' today, and I was surprised by how sad I felt when it came to an end. No matter that it took me the better part of two hours to read the thing, it was a fantastic and witty story. It also made me want to try to work on something that I've been thinking of doing for over a year now. Just a case of finding some time to just shut everything out and get it done...Yeah...maybe in fifty years when I retire then.
