Fact of life #13 - It's the small things in life that can make you smile and touch your heart the most.
----------
Y'know something that seriously irritates me? People who write notes into Library books with pen. Now, pencil doesn't matter, for obvious reasons. Even I do that...but when I see sloppy underlining done with a red pen, I want to throttle someone. It's inconsiderate for a start. But eh, the irritation might be more than usual due to the fact that I've been reading more or less since I got back from my epic-length shopping trip with The Gnome today after our 9am Chaucer lecture.
I ended up paying £10 to get a new battery for my phone...although when I came to charge it I realised that it was the actual phone charger-bit that doesn't work...so I have to get a new phone /anyway/...Maybe I can sell my old one in order to get the money I need for a new one. Bah, I don't know. All I know is that from town tomorrow I need to get a new phone, and my Secret Santa present for the person I was allocated at Caufar.
Today however, was rather productive. I managed to get a new gym set (trousers and a t-shirt) as well as things for the musical-themed bar crawl, to which I plan on going as Elphaba from Wicked. Oh, and it seems as though the Games Workshop in the city centre are looking for part-time workers...I'm going to go in tomorrow to speak to the manager...I'm really crossing my fingers and praying that they'll give me a chance there.
In any case, not an awful lot else to report except for the fact that I've decided to be in the last Proteus Production after having sat out for one week. It's a chance for me to work with people I've not previously worked with...which I'm really looking forward to.
Oh, and I had a rather long (around 4 hours or so) webcam-conversation over MSN with Saki a couple of days ago. That was strange. Not in the least because she was chatting to her mother for the first small portion of it. I still find it exceedingly strange to consider that I'm talked about outside of actual conversations. Absurd I know, but still. I always took what I said as one of those things that are amusing possibly at the time, but not important enough to think of bringing up in conversation. Guess I was incorrect on that score. It's arrogant perhaps, but it makes me smile to realise that some people think about me from time to time, even when I'm not in the general area.Labels: Fancy dress, LUT, Proteus, Wicked
