Fact of life #12 - Technology will often die for no reason, right when you're using it. Do not trust it too greatly.
----------
I was five minutes into a conversation with my auntie and my phone's battery decided to die. This in itself was obviously not a problem. I'd simply be able to switch on the plug socket and put the charger into the phone and watch it...nothing. Zilch. The blessed thing refuses to do anything but sit there, evidently not charging. So I emailed my auntie, who then got my uncle to send an early Christmas gift of £50 so I could buy a new phone. I realised just how lucky I was, since it means I can get a new phone at some point next week.
In other news, I've done the bullet pointing for my Renaissance Assignment. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a decent grade...it's just a case of mixing in the right amount of first and secondary texts, plus my own thoughts. It's 3,000 words though, so theoretically I ought to have ample time to talk about everything I want to. The topic I chose was about classical imitation and originality, so I've got a decent scope, and it's something I'm interested in anyway, which always helps with things like that.
