Well, the LUT bar crawl yesterday was certainly...amusing. Starting off with the fact that I had to get the bus down London Road whilst dressed as Elphaba. The good thing about living in as big a student city as Leicester, is that not many people bat an eyelid when that sort of thing happens. The bus driver certainly didn't. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised to see that no-one else had gone as Elphaba. There were two Jesus', a 'Cat', the female from Cabaret, two 'Troy's', a 'Phantom', and a number of other characters. It was a really good turnout, with people really making an effort.
We went to a few places before ending up at 'Mad Fer It' at the union, wherein we discovered that it was the day when the Union had decided to have a sort of roller-disco. After my second tumble I checked the roller blades and saw that they'd been worn down to almost right-angles and rather prudently decided to take them back and just stay on my own two feet for the rest of the evening.
Today my left arm has felt as though it's halfway between awake and asleep, and is grumbling about it. Not good. But still, I thoroughly enjoyed myself last night, and even managed to get rid of the green paint after just one shower.
For some reason this evening, I've been craving to ring my Auntie or Nana and just have a chat with them. A lot of things have been happening recently (mostly with the onslaught of so much happening at Uni, but a few personal things as well) and I just want to hear a friendly voice that doesn't belong to anyone from Uni, as much as I get on with everyone. It's just getting a bit...much. Just having a mundane conversation about something...anything would help me right now. I might ring my Auntie tomorrow after fencing.
I got a Christmas Card from my mother today. I don't quite know how to feel about that. Any ideas?
