Fact of life #17 - Things really aren't always as bad as you think they're going to be.
-----
In between meeting up with Richard, going to an Arkham Horror game at Ben&Ashley's house, doing some ironing for my auntie and promising to go and see Josh tomorrow...I've not really had the time or energy to write on this thing for the past few days.
Although I daresay I can forgive myself on the grounds of it being almost Christmas and all, especially with the general Christmas cry of 'you're kidding me...I have to buy a present for them!?'. So as well as being busy, my bank account really isn't looking as healthy as it was this time last year. Still, everything has now been sorted so at least I shan't be wrapping presents on Christmas morning again like I was last year. I just hope that everyone likes what they got.
I managed to actually talk to Martin this evening over messenger. He's the Line Manager for the Suzerain books...a branch of the Talisman Studios RPG company. He gave me a few important hints and tips about editing, which I'm very grateful for. It also means that I have a better understanding of how to actually go about editing the texts he's going to set for me in the future. There were a few alarm bells when he asked me about my writing, then suggested that I send him a sample to see if I was the sort of person who'd be able to write for them as well as editing. To be truthful I'm in two minds about that.
Aanndd, I've had an idea for a new Caufar character, to get be back into actually RPing with people. I kinda realise now that my own cast of characters are rather dry, so I need someone to liven things up a bit and make people want to RP with me again. So...another thing on my 'to do' list. No matter, I have until new years.
