Fact of life #18 - A smile is infectious. But then again so is the flu.
----------
Well, Christmas has come and gone. It was a nice few days, actually. I went 'round to the Lair on Christmas eve to have a drink, chat and a few games with Josh & co. No embarrassing moments thankfully, even when I had a go on Guitar Hero, which I hadn't done for months. ("Ok, I can do this eas---where are the strings? Agghh!")
Christmas itself was good, although I did get called a variation of 'fat' for the fourth year running by a family member, as well as a myriad of other things pertaining to getting a job. Ah well, can't ask for everything I suppose. I did get Season 1 of Grey's Anatomy however, along with the Mamma Mia! soundtrack and the Guild Wars collection. Which was fantastic. For some reason my appetite wasn't too good on Christmas day, but it's been getting better, so the leftovers have more or less been finished in short order.
I also saw my mother and Chloe a few days ago. It was...odd. Chloe and my mother are more alike the more I see them in words and temperament. I feel guilty because I want to actually feel something towards the pair of them, but for the most part it's indifference. I'll quite happily go and see them when I can and keep in contact...but still. at least I have my grandparents and auntie/uncle.
Apart from all that, I've been sorting out a few bits and bobs for Uni and the like. As well as writing up a new character bio for Caufar (with another currently open in a different tab, hopefully to be written up before I go out tonight). I've started to be included into the group chats of Caufarians, which is incredibly nice - though I'd never be so sad as to admit it directly to them - it makes me feel more included than I have been.
I'll most likely follow up this post with another one, reflecting on what's happened in this past year, and what I hope for the future. I have about ten other things to do before I'm picked up in an hour to go to Josh's however...so it'll depend on how fast I get things done.
