Technically, I ought to be continuing to clean the house or down the shops getting things I need for the BBQ that I'm hosting for my Theatre friends this afternoon. The sky outside is mostly grey and white, mixed with splitshes of blue, as though someone's accidentally dropped some splots of colour there. There's a bit of sunshine, as always, and I can tell the weather's struggling against all odds to be good. Odd, that's sort of how I feel at the moment. I've realised that there are realisations that one comes to, that kind of take the wind out of you instead of giving you hope or inner peace. Still, that's something to work on for a different day.
I've had a rather nice couple of days, really. On Sunday Lucy, Hannah and I went to see 'Two', one of the LUT productions, and then when the others went home I stayed behind and went to 'The death of Giant Squids' with the other LUTers. It's strange and slightly irritating to realise that the Student Union will be closed next year for refurbishment. Still, I guess that'll give us 3rd years (that still hasn't quite sunk in yet) time to actually...oh.../do/ our work, maybe. I'm also applying for a business grant and tuition in order to help me set up my own Bookcafe the year after I leave Uni. I have quite a few ideas. I think the only problem will potentially be startup costs. Guess I'd better start saving a lot harder than I have been previously. Anyone want to offer me a job?
I watched Audrey Hepburn in 'My Fair Lady' yesterday, and I can see why people thought my Auntie looked a lot like her when she (my auntie) was younger. It's the cheekbones and the chin. People have commented to me about my facial bone structure, but then again my features are a lot softer than the angular faces of the women on both sides of my family.
Talking about bodies and such, I've started doing Pilates again. With the orange band. I think I must've gotten stronger, because it didn't make my arms ache at all, really. My flexbility well and truly still /sucks/ though, so at least I'll be working on that.
Well, better get back to the BBQ preparations, dear reader.
